The Hype, the Glory, the Festival,
the "Navasartian Games!"

     The Navasartian Games Festival is upon us, and that has heightened the expectations of yet another spectacular finish to this year’s 4th of July games and festivities. With the tremendous success of the Victory Ball behind them, Homenetmen’s as well as the community’s focus has shifted to the four days of the festival which begins on Thursday, July 2nd and concludes on Sunday, July 5th... Homenetmen’s army of volunteers are gearing up to welcome the community to witness and take part in the show that’s about to unfold.
     Homenetmen has undergone many preparations to meet and surpass previous Navasartian Games festivities, and to ensure that this is the case, has taken the initiative to cater to the public’s insatiable appetite for a more eye-catching festival. This year’s program includes "Kids’ Day," where a variety of amusement games are on offer for children, endless music and entertainment that will last for four days, food to satisfy every craving, especially, and after making its long-awaited comeback, the ever popular "SADJI HATS," which will be offered by the Homenetmen Camp Tecuya Committees, and is sure to bring a wide smile to everyone’s face, and last, but not least, scores of sports competitions to keep us all on our toes.
     Karnig Sarkissian will kick off the festival on the evening of July 2nd followed by a brilliant Fireworks show. Hoy Lari, Harout Pamboukjian, and countless singers will grace the stage that’ll be setup for them to keep us all dancing, singing and in good spirits.
     With the festivities well on course, the games begin to heat up as the play-offs in various sports are being contested, raising the temperature on this Mouth-Watering Sports Extravaganza to unprecedented heights. As one consummate athlete put it, "It’ll Be a Crime to Miss the Finals!" The intensity of the games gets the spectators fully involved in support of their team, their son, their daughter, their chapter. At the end of the day, it is a Win Win for Homenetmen for having the ability to generate the kind of interest from our youth, where such fervent emotions are drawn out to the forefront of what promises to be an unforgettable spectacle. To add to the euphoria that’s the Navasartian Games, please check the schedule for the visiting Homenetmen teams from Australia that will be gracing our games this year. The Aussies are sure to add more panache of the games.
     In retrospect, the Festival has been there for so long, that it’s become emblematic of the Navasartian Games. So much so, that they’ve become inseparable twins, where it may well be concluded that they complete one another.
     So come on down and enjoy yourselves in this once a year event. Eat, drink and be merry, and dance under the stars with the Homenetmen Stars. Meet family and friends, get together with old acquaintances, revel in this year’s Navasartian Games Festival, and keep the wonderful memories of a short few days for a lifetime.
